
Industry PhD project title: Optimal Planning and Scheduling of Electric Bus Fleets and Charging Stations

Previous education and work background: I hold a Master’s degree in Energy Systems Engineering, specialising in optimisation, data-driven modeling, and techno-economic assessment. I have previously worked on industry projects focused on scheduling battery energy storage systems (BESS) and designing data-driven health models for lithium-ion batteries. I also have some experience as a Data Analyst and IT Specialist.
What attracted you to the RACE Industry PhD?
I am deeply motivated to design sustainable, innovative solutions to tackle real-world challenges. The RACE Industry PhD program offers a platform to collaborate with like-minded professionals and industry experts, enabling me to work on impactful projects and drive meaningful change. I aspire to bridge cutting-edge research with practical applications, contributing to sustainable advancements in the energy sector.
When you were young, what did you want to be when you were older?
I wanted to be an astronaut

What are you most looking forward to?
I am looking forward to connecting with like-minded peers, sharing my research, and engaging in discussions on the existing challenges.
What innovation/change would you like to see in 5-10 years’ time? A breakthrough in efficient and long-term energy storage solutions that can facilitate the transition to clean energy.
