Purpose of project

This project will provide recommendations about how to reach and communicate effectively with the existing residential building sector trades to provide information and confidence to implement net zero approaches, aligned with the updated Trajectory for Low Energy Buildings. This project will provide recommendations about the target audiences where knowledge gaps and confidence gaps exist in the sector and sub-sectors.

This occurs in the context of existing offerings such as the Net Zero Energy Builder website and other Net Zero Homes training modules. While there is a high uptake of the current available training modules by the building design, architectural and energy assessment community, this project will review whether these modules adequately cover the needs of professionals such as developers, builders, sub-contractors, suppliers, trades and labourers.

Phase 1 of the project will influence the delivery of relevant, targeted training modules in Phase 2.
