The project

This research study aims to assess the potential benefits of various energy mixes for communities and the environment in Indonesia. By analysing the socioeconomic and environmental impacts of different renewable options versus non-renewable energy sources, the research will seek to identify the most sustainable and beneficial energy strategies for different regions and communities across the country.  

Additionally, the research will incorporate a just energy transition framework, emphasising equitable outcomes and ensuring that community perspectives and needs are integral to shaping energy policies and practices, thereby promoting inclusivity in the development of regional energy solutions.
